First Day Formalities Initial Impressions
Since this was my second internship here so there were no as such first-day formalities as I was familiar with the staff and the environment. But Raj Sir welcomed me wholeheartedly.
Raj Sir is very learned and an experienced Senior Advocate with diverse knowledge on Industrial and Employment law, legal procedures and a wide range of associated issues. He is one of the best mentor/guru I have personally met and to work with him personally was a very nice and learning experience.
Raavi Ma’am was very friendly, even though she was busy with loads of work but she made sure to interact with each one of us personally every day. She is a highly proactive specialist litigator with a wealth of practical experience gained over years of conducting several types of litigations.
She is also a good speaker and is invited to various conferences to impart knowledge on various issues. It was a pleasure to meet Sir and Ma’am.
The infrastructure includes a separate room for interns with wooden offices, where interns sit and work together; a rich library, where one can get a wide range of books.
Main Tasks
Main tasks included research work pertaining to various aspects of labour, service, constitutional, commercial, company, contractual, civil, competition, taxation, Intellectual Property law, etc.. They have a vast clientele.
Various other tasks were also allocated to interns such as visiting the Courtrooms to observe the proceedings, read files, drafting, preparing case notes, filing fresh writ matters and typing related works.
Raj Sir used to call the interns personally and explain the details while giving the work which helped us a lot in terms of how the research is actually done and the main points we should put our focus on.
Apart from research on judgments, court cases notes etc., I personally accompanied Raj Sir and Raavi Ma’am to Delhi High Court in various cases.
