First day formalities
One the first day, I had a familiarisation session with Sir, before he assigned me my first task. There aren’t any formalities as such. not to forget this old saying ‘first impression is the last impression’
Accommodation, travel
I live in Delhi, so I didn’t have to hunt for any accommodation.
Main tasks
I was engaged in very quality work , which is exactly what I was looking for, in this internship. I was assigned work on Cases Related to IBC and Supreme Court cases
The work broadly consists of everything that you would find at any respectable litigation practice. This includes research, drafting, filing and other chamber work. Particularly, I drafted Written Statements, counter affidavits and other documents.
Work Environment
Sir made it very easy to work with him by being constantly available in person, over the phone and email. I used to have legal discussions with him about the work, where he gave due regard to my views and opinions.
You can visit Supreme Court and Other various courts and Tribunals when sir assigned you.
In the evening we used to report to directly to the sir what he have done during the day, when I was working there other 7 interns with me and in that time at his office Sir used to give us his views and take our views as well on the pronouncements of the judgements made by the supreme court on that particular day which clearly highlights sharing environments.
The nature of work one is is give happens to be such that one feels constantly challenged and thus are constantly on their toes.
Good things
Sir being a distinguished lawyer in Supreme court and National Green Tribunal and several other courts, you can witness him while he is engaged in some good news debates. If you’re interested in actually learning some quality work, and are ready to work hard, this place will give you right platform and exposure.
The office staff is so helpful and you can learn things from each one of them.
What I have learnt from sir he is not dependent on anyone which is a valuable life lesson and his commitments to the work applaudable.
This internship offers a great deal of learning and exposure. The amount of trust Sir place in you while offering certain tasks is unparalleled anywhere. The atmosphere is so friendly that the chamber ends up becoming like your family.
Bad things
Nothing
Stipend
