Duration of internship and timings

1 month, 2nd January to 31st January, 10 A.M to 5 P.M.  If one wants to go to his chamber in the evening, they can go.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The first impression was very impressive as the bewitchery of him will definitely magnetise anyone.

There were no such formalities, on the first day sir called me to the court and said to follow him to the District Judge Court.

The infrastructure of the sir’s chamber was very impressive. Interns were allowed to read anything they want and can access to his library.

Main Task

Mainly research work on the different local laws and criminal law. Preparing facts and files and read case files in order to understand the issues, rules and their applicability in the case.

I got an opportunity to interact with different clients and the best part was to observe the court proceeding.

Work environment and people

The Juniors were very generous and considerate in nature. They were very supportive and treated me like their own.

They use to encourage me a lot and edify me about the refinement of procedure and use to help me understand the technicalities of criminal law.

Best things

He is the doyen of the Dhanbad Bar, the best defence counsel in the city. Interning with the best make you learn the difficult things in a very short span of time.

The best part was that being very busy he was easily approachable and was ready to entertain and solve all my doubts.

He is having the extraordinary power of absorption and has effective advocacy, being at the pinnacle of his career he is very humble and this is what inspired me to do hard work during my internship period and to learn from him as much as I can.

Biggest Lessons

The first lesson which I learnt was that: one can get success anywhere even in a district court and to achieve that success one had to work hard.

Sir used to tell us every time that there is no such case you cannot win. Every case needs proper attention of the lawyer and the proper application of law.

The second lesson I learnt was that: If the court fails in providing justice then karma will definitely do justice. As sir had given catena of examples where court acquitted the person but Karma did proper justice to him.

The third lesson I learnt was that:  No one is bigger or smaller in this profession. Help each and every one and be ready to serve your knowledge maybe that can give fruits to you in future.

The fourth lesson I learnt was that: With great success come great humility and one should never forget that and one should never compromise with his principle whatever may be the situation.

The last lesson was that: To be at the top at the sessions court first you need to get well acquainted with the procedural law and one can not afford to waste a single minute in the arena of courts gossiping and making fun.

Nope, but in the evening you will have the opportunity to eat samosa or anything you wish to have!
