First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure

The first impression was quite good. I introduced myself to the office authorities and was introduced to my other colleagues and associates. They have a decent office in the basement area of his residence with an extensive library facility and internet access.

First day, I was assigned the task to prepare a draft of a Civil case.

Main Tasks

The major tasks we had to do here was to research on various legal points. Preparing draft of Cases and Bail applications. Make case notes and briefs of different cases. Search judgements related to cases. A few visits to High Court as it was vacation time.

In the leisure time they assign you some good books to read. “Black Law” : Mother of Crimes, I read.

Work environment, People

The working environment at the office is very good.

The friendly and co-operative yet professional attitude of the colleagues and associates besides the excellent ambiance of work and the ease in availability of resources for research have cast a long lasting impression on me and shall be remembered by me throughout my life.

They keep discussing various complex points of law.

Best Things

Extensive library. Flexible Timings, Co-operative Associates, Free access to Manupatra and SCC. I was given full freedom to express my concern regarding any matter and put forth my point of view and ask questions if required. In-short you get personal attention from the senior advocate.

Bad Things

Nothing bad I experienced here.

The only bad thing according to me was that some of the days we had no work to do and you have to approach the Associates to get some work assigned.

Stipend

No Stipend, but good working environment

Biggest Lessons

Mr. Gupta, a senior advocate of Rajasthan High Court, is a very pragmatic and down to earth person.

A person very enthusiastic for discussing with the interns. He taught the basic legal ethics and practical facets of law.

Any Other Thing

Law students who are really interested in Litigation can surely do a internship here.
