Timings
Don’t worry, she will give you so much of quality work that you will not feel like going to your PG/Home.
First day, First Impression
On the first day I met Adv Sonali Chopra in Saket District Court exactly at 10:00 AM. She explained me all matters for the day and after our matter got over, I went to Patiala House Court and then again met her in Delhi High Court. (You have to run for whole day and don’t even think of rest when you are working with her)
You will be like I want to be a lawyer like her she is so thorough in her work.
After 5 PM go to office at Sundar Nagar Delhi (Nearest Metro Station- Pragati Maidan) and prepare for next day.
Main tasks
Main tasks included mostly the research work and drafting pertaining to Delhi Rent Control Act, Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, Code of Civil Procedure, Transfer of Property Act, Contempt of Court Act etc.
Apart from the research work, interns also attend the meetings with client and Senior Counsels.
Best things
Interns get to have lunch with her (Don’t dare to open your wallet before her) during which she will give the important lessons for your career and college life.
Moreover, she will explain you how to approach a particular research proposition or how to draft Written Statement BUT if you are not following her instructions that get ready to have a “lesson of your life”.
Show her that you are passionate about work and she will help you like no one did in your entire law school even your seniors.
Stipend
Depends on your Capability. (Don’t want to mention my amount)
Biggest Lessons
As a lawyer always carry the basic stationery and court fee with you. (You will understand it on first day of internship)
Overall Rating
9 out of 10.
