Application Process
I have applied by my personal contact with Mr. Mukesh Verma, Supreme Court Lawyer.
I am restricted to share his contact number because he usually doesn’t keep interns under him except he has some personal contacts.
Duration of internship and timings
The period of internship was for 1 month for the period of June- July, 2013.
The timing was 10 A.M to 4 P.M.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
As it was my personal contact so there is no such formality was to be done.
He had his chamber inside the Supreme court and most of the chamber there were small in size.
Actually every room, it was just that two 4 x 4 table and 2 chair can be placed and that too in vertical format.
Office was divided in 2 cabins, 1st is the stenographer room and then the office.
Main tasks
The working of Supreme Court is completely different form the lower courts.
The matters are decided on the question of facts rather than question of law.
My work is to assist sir to the courts and hearing the matters and after coming from courts I had to edit documents in the case file and in the computer also.
Work environment and people
The environment inside the Supreme Court chambers are very different than the chambers outside because I had the opportunity to interact with new lawyers and I got in link with very knowledgeable lawyers.
Best things
The best thing happened to me is I used to saw top shot lawyers argument in court like Mr. Ram Jethmalani, Venu Gopal Rao etc.

Biggest Lessons
I learnt that to be in the apex court you need to have the knowledge beyond the books.
