Duration of internship and timings
18th May, 2015 to 15th June, 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The office was quite organised and well maintained. I was told to reach the office at sharp 10 am, when I reached I was entertained by the peon who showed me my sitting area.
They asked me to fill up a form and gave me my bio-metric card and a notepad. I waited for 3 to 4 hours and after that around 1 pm, all the associates came.
Main tasks
An intern is mainly given a task on which he / she is required to search upon and then make it in word or power point presentation form, make a case notes for the same and then mail it to the concern partner or the associate.
Work environment and people
The work environment was good but the interns had to find their own way as no one bothers to talk to them at all. No one will make an effort to teach you anything or will even talk to you. The associates think that the interns know everything and they assign the task which has no learning aspect and at times they don’t even ask for the work.
Also the tasks are time bound and if you don’t complete the work on time, they will make you sit after the office timings, scream at you and all you have to do is, sit, listen and complete the task.
Best things
The best thing about the internship was that the working environment is very casual. You have to keep yourself busy as no one makes an effort to teach you anything.
Bad things
If you are asked to submit a report, they expect that report to be simply perfect and if its not, you get scolded in front of the entire and if they find any mistake, you will be asked to sit for extra hours in the office till the time you don’t make the required corrections.
They won’t allow you to leave at 6:27 pm but only 6:30 pm and if you try to leave before time.
Stipend
Nothing at all.
