Accommodation: how, where, how was it?
Bhopal, city of lakes is a beautiful city and capital city of Madhya Pradesh. There is no problem of accommodation.
You can get hostels very easily in M.P Nagar and nearby areas. You can get hostels with lodging and food facilities.
Transport facility is very good. You can easily get public buses. Public transport in Bhopal is safe.
How big was the office? Team strength?
It had space for the interns, sir’s office had a library.
First impression. First day, formalities etc.
It was a completely new experience. Visiting courts like district court Bhopal, National Green Tribunal, Consumer forum.
I used to go in the morning at 9 am to the office which was in Arera colony Bhopal.
I read case files and made briefs for my study. Then we went to the court along with sir and his associates. His associates gave us case briefs in the court while witnessing the proceedings.
Main tasks
Read files of the on-going cases. Ask for work.
Work environment, people
Sometimes gets irritating because of 1-2 associates who are made in charge of the interns hardly gave any work .
I did some research work. Since in the first year you don’t know much about the core law subjects so there’s hardly any work given to you. So do not expect.
I hardly got chance to talk to my lawyer because of his busy schedule and we only conversed with the associates.
Best Things
Firsts step in the courts. Visiting courts like NGT, consumer forum etc is a good learning experience.
Bad Things
The first thing which you can learn in the first week of trial court internship is how to run with the associates and lawyer in the court.
You will get frustrated because at the beginning you won’t understand anything what is going on but gradually you will learn some of the basic things.
Sir is very busy.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues:
Enjoyed with the colleagues
Stipend:
No
