Duration of internship and timings

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I had to report at 10 am so I reached the office at 9:30 which was not a good idea as nobody had turned up till then except the office staff. I was asked to fill a form and had a brief interaction with Ms. Leena where in she introduced me to the work place and asked me to work under Rajeev Sir.
Main tasks
I was sent to a slum to do a Base line data survey. There was other tasks which included to teach small children and spread awareness regarding child rights. There was more of clerical work which I used to find very boring.
Work environment and people
Even though this is an NGO but has a very professional approach regarding work and people were not very cordial to each other.
Good thing was met few good interns which made the internship easy to go with.
Best things
You get to do the field work which only an NGO internship can provide. The happiness of getting along with small kids is beyond imagination. This internship can prove to be a good one for first year students.
Bad things
There was dearth of substantial work. Not very productive.
Stipend
None
Biggest Lessons
If you love social work and have an urge to do some betterment in the field of child rights CRY is the right place. 🙂
