Duration of internship and timings

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On the first day we were first required to introduce ourselves, after which we were taken to the conference room, and then a ppt was shown to us which gave us glimpse of Chetanalaya’s intervention in providing support to the needy ones.

Main tasks

The interns were divided into groups and each of the group were given a area, where that group has to go and interact with people living in the slums and find out how Chetanalya has helped them in maintaining their standard of living.

Work environment and people

The work environment was very friendly out there, mostly we have to go for field work so the interaction with the colleagues at the head office was less.

Best things

The best thing in this internship was to take the exposure of slum areas and interacting with those people, some of the children were so good in dance that they organised a dance show for us as a farewell as it was our last working day over there.

Bad things

The bad thing was that no remuneration was given as we had to travel a lot and commuting was always a trouble.

Biggest Lessons

The biggest lesson which i got is “Everyone is not fortunate enough to afford all the things, but still we have to keep faith on us and god to achieve what we want from our life”.

Try to apply in the month of March or April.

I live in Delhi only and the NGO was about 4 kms only.

The timings were from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
