Simplest: Just a Letter of Recommendation from your college and copy of I-card, it would be enough for applying here in SCRDC.
But every detail must be properly mentioned in Letter of Recommendation especially about duration of Internship, duly attested and signed by the competent authorities.
Duration of internship and timings
1st July, 2015 – 22nd July, 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Frankly submitted that it was awesome.
I think you already must have got the hint about the work environment here. It is awesome!
Just couples of hours you have to work & then you are free. It is somewhat where one can say that learn while you fun.
But it must be understood that while working during those few hours, you must be attentive, punctual and must show keen enthusiasm to learn because environment is something which all factors jointly create and interns are also a factor.
The unique and interesting feature is that the bench is quite cooperative, intern friendly and even Sir is easily approachable. His Lordship actively participates in the question answer sessions with interns.
Main tasks
Witnessing quasi judicial proceedings of the Commission, submission of daily assignments and notes.
Work environment and people
From Infrastructure to Work Environment, from the Honourable Bench to Working staff, from pile of files to interns; all these factors make this a very better institution for Internship.
The Bench headed by Justice Retd. SS Gupta and Mr. Devraj and Mrs. Padma Pandey are its members. Let some credit be also given to Mr. RS Rawat, Executive Secretary for his effective working style which keeps it very energetic and cheerful but disciplined place.
Best things
Students of 1st year can do internship here because its a quasi-judicial institution. Hence they would feel comfortable as an intern for the first time and can earn experience for upcoming internships.
Bad things
Because the proceedings of the Commission are Summary Based proceedings, it resulted in boring sometimes. SCRDC can make it more interesting and attractive.
It can also organize educational trips to High Courts and other institutions of law during the period of internship.
Stipend
None
Biggest Lessons
Having practical experience is something different than the book’s knowledge.
An intern has an opportunity to learn from Advocates / Lawyers, who plead in the court room and can make new contacts with them which can be helpful for life time.
Accommodation
No problem! There are a lot of P.G. services for Boys & Girls near SCRDC in Sec 19 and Sec 7.
One can avail their services as per his or her budget. Well the estimated rent for 1 month is 4000 – 5000 rupees.
Office Timings
Working hours are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm including one hour for lunch time.
But interns used to finish their daily assignment and notes writing work by 2:00 pm as everyone used to cooperate each other in preparing all these.
