Chambers of Advocate Anil Kumar Saxena, District and Session Court, Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh
Application Process
My grandfather himself is an advocate so through his contact I got to join the basic learning platform.
Duration of internship and timings
25 days
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
At first day itself, I came across Mediation and Conciliation Cells,Lok Adalats and tons of other institutions that mesmerised me.
I registered my self as a beginner to intern at district court under the senior most advocate Mr. Anil Saxena.
Main tasks
I was made familiar with the basic drafting skills. I had grown through many hearings in the session under the district judges.
Work environment and people
Generally a supreme court or a high court lawyer are bored with interns whereas a district court lawyer would find it fascinating and that’s what happened with me. My lawyer acted as a professor to me and got me learn every basic that a fresher must aware of. I enjoyed it as a complete professional.
Best things
Out of my courses on contract law and law of torts, it was really interesting to see the words at work. As district courts are the fantastic and humanguous unit of our justice delivery system. The backlog cases, the corruption and red tapism in judiciary, dingy dusty courts and not like TV arguments all were at play.
Bad things
Nothing such happened.
Stipend
No stipend.
Biggest Lessons
Many things I got to learn well. But the biggest lessons I had learn is to respect our seniors. Law is all about seniority and rules. I would always accustom that equity in justice is to be administered in every decision of mine.
