First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The first day usually goes in making supreme court passes and getting an associate allotted.

Main tasks

As it is a senior lawyer’s chamber, there is no as such work of drafting.

The major work given to interns deals with research, making case notes, reading files and giving a brief to the associate, proof reading amongst others.

Work environment and people

The work environment is quite chilled out.

The associates don”t take any personal effort in reaching to you.

It is you who has to reach them to get work allotted barring a few who are really good and caring.

Best things

The best thing is that you get to see Salman sir argue in the supreme court.

I would like to mention that what a genuine and down to earth person he is.

Lunch is served around 2 in the conference hall where everyone including sir and associates eat together with the interns.

On the last day, sir personally interacts with the outgoing interns and takes back their feedback and haves a cup of coffee with them.

Biggest Lessons

If you want to take up litigation, its not an easy job.

Accommodation

I reside in Delhi so it wasn’t very difficult for me.

Sir’s office is located at 22, Feroze Shah Road which is 5 minutes away from the Mandi House Station.

Office Timings

Office timings are from 10:30 to 5 from Monday to Saturday.
