An application was signed by the Principal of our college where it was asked the NGO to allow to the students of the college to intern there.

Duration of internship and timings

5 days

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

It was a great place for small children who were brought up there and given education. It was great to see small kids all the while and the feeling of doing something for them through this internship was an overwhelming experience.

Since we had already submitted the application for internship we were immediately assigned the work.

Main tasks

We learnt a lot there. Starting from the inception of Basundhara and their accomplishments and yardstick for the upliftment of poor and indigent person and also to curb the offences against women and to provide shelter to parent less child and posthumous after the demise of mother. We were also taught about Juvenile delinquency and were accorded to meet those people.

Work environment and people

People were very much adorable and amicable.

Best things

Learnt how some people are working hard for the upliftment of society and providing shelter for orphans.

Work for the upliftment of poor.

Bad things

Nothing bad happened.

Stipend

This was an unpaid internship.

Biggest Lessons

I learnt that a lawyer may die but may not lose his appeal.

Any Other Thing

We met Mr. Leon Larsan and Angie, a Dansih couple who had come down to Basundhara for adoption. It was an reminiscing and unforgettable moment of ecstaticness to interact with them. And the last day we were awarded certificates following some questions about what we had gasped and comprehended about Juvenile delinquacy and what did we learnt from those experiences.
