Duration: 4 weeks

Timings: 10 am to 5 pm

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On the first day I was introduced to every working at the NGO. The organisation takes up a lot of projects headed by different people. I was also introduced to all the projects and asked to choose the project I would like to work on.

Main tasks

Making presentations for the NGO’s events
Help with arrangements of their workshops
Visiting the poor kids and reviewing their situation
Determining whether a person requires monetary help or not.

Work environment and people

The work environment was really nice. Although everyone was involved in their own projects they were all friendly and helped in case of any queries or trouble.

Best things

Best thing was the feeling you get when you interact with the less fortunate and realise you are contributing to make their life a little better.

Bad things

The bad part was that you had to choose any one project and had to work only on that particular project.
