Duration, Timings

Timings are flexible. Work from home is allowed upon request.

First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure

SAPAA office was a semi-formal setting with kind and welcoming employees. The firm provides its interns with laptops and any other resource that might be required.

The are encouraged to arrive and leave as per their convenience to ensure that they are at their productive best. The senior advocate is a very humble and helpful person. It was a great experience to intern under him!

Main Tasks

I identified my interest areas as Transfer pricing & Double taxation avoidance in International taxation and Reopening of closed income tax assessments in domestic tax laws.

The internship period was four weeks long and I was allotted one assignment per week.

By the end of every week, I was required to write an elaborate article (6000-8000 words) on a given contemporary legal issue and make a ppt on it.

Sir was always ready to clarify any doubts that might arise. If the work is done before time, you may be allowed to get the remaining week off!

Work environment, People

The people were very kind and helpful. The work environment is employee friendly and interns are very well treated.

Best Things

The best thing about SAPAA is the friendly work environment which does not have any unhealthy competition. Their modus operandi is very flexible and it favours the employees.

Bad Things

I do not think that SAPAA has any minus points. However, I should mention that the complex in which the firm is set-up has rather unhygienic unisex washrooms.
