The application is available HERE.
Duration of internship and timings
Six months and office hours were from 9 am to 6 pm.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
First day was pretty chilled out as there was not much work to do. They made me sign a non-disclosure agreement and then provided me with a patents act along with a book on Patent Searching by David Hunt as the organisation is involved in the area of Patent Search and analytics.
Office was previously at Greenwood City, Sector-45, Gurgaon when I interned but now has been shifted to its new address at Unit Number 615, Bestech Business Tower Sector-48, Gurgaon, Haryana India 122019.
Infrastructure is pretty fine.
Main tasks
Major Tasks include Prior art Searching Analysis including Prior Art Searches, Patent Landscaping / Technology Mapping, Patentability and Marketability Analysis, Patent Portfolio Analysis, Freedom To Operate Analysis, Patent Claim Mapping.
Work environment and people
The associates were quite helpful and were happy to clear any doubts or questions which i faced while understanding the basics of Patents act. They were happy to help whether it was work or finding a accommodation nearby to other co-interns as I have my home in Gurgaon itself.
Best things
Frequent treats and parties because of one or the other reason. Also the nice people and interesting work made the experience altogether a good learning experience. I was paid extra incentives for every live project I worked on.
Bad things
There were 1-2 associates who were a bit rude and sarcastic.
Stipend
Rs. 8000/month
Biggest Lessons
Sincerity and hard work earns you great appreciation and incentives.
