Timing

9.30 am – Around 8 pm

First Impression, First Day Formalities, Infrastructure

After being introduced to all the associates and interns, I was shown my desk, assigned a computer and provided with some stationery.

The firm has a professional working environment. The infrastructure is extremely fancy. The office has a professional coffee machine and an elaborate fingerprint system mechanism.

Main Tasks

ARA Law specializes in corporate law, with Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity being their core interest areas.

My work revolved around Company law provisions, SEBI Regulations, Contract Act, Stamp duty provisions, private equity and venture capital funds.

Every intern is assigned a topic on their first day and is required to make a presentation on it. The same has to be presented by the intern before all the associates on his/her last day.

Work Environment and People

Although the firm has an extremely professional environment, the associates are approachable and friendly.

It is ensured that the interns are kept busy with quality work at all times. Deadlines are expected to be adhered to and in case of any queries; the associates are more than willing to help.

Best Things

The weekly presentations conducted by the associates and interns are engaging and informative.

More often than not, the interns receive a feedback for their work.

The evening snacks provided make up for the long working hours.

Bad Things

Travel might be an issue.
