Application Process
You need to send in a cover letter specifying your internship period along with your CV.
Duration of Internship
I interned there in the month of June in 2013, the timings were 9 am to 8 pm.
The day time was spent either at High Court or District Court.
First Day Formalities and Impression
The office is small and there is no dedicated room for the interns, there are no hard and fast first day formalities, all one needs to do is just be in touch with one of the associates and get located in the office.
Main Tasks
Main task is to accompany the advocate to hearings and keeping a track of his matters, in the evening you will be preparing arguments for the next days hearing which will include researching and coming up with case.
Work Environment
Work environment is friendly and you’ll be working directly with the advocate sitting right with him.
The associates are also very friendly and will treat you as equals.
Good Things
Evening time paan! Everyone in the office enjoys a meetha pan in the evening sponsored by sir.
We learnt a little bit of Drafting and it honed my researching skills to a lot of extent.
Learnt how to argue in the court and catch the judge in his own arguments.
Bad Things
Lack of adequate space in office.
