GNLU-GUJCOST RESEARCH CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE ON IPR LAWS, POLICIES & PRACTICES
Since its inception in the year 2015, the GNLU-GUJCOST Research Centre has worked towards capacity creation and maintenance of the current regime of IPR laws, policies and practices through education, training and research based activities.
The aim of GNLU and GUJCOST is to spread awareness of IP laws amongst various stakeholders and the student fraternity by initiation of academic and outreach programmes.
CAPSULE COURSE ON TRADEMARK REGISTRATION- THE PROCESS AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS
In times when the domestic market is bitten by a ‘Make in India’ vogue, a fresh ecosystem for intellectual property rights is replacing the older version. Such changes necessitate a need for learning the nitty-gritties of the system.
Identifying the need for dissemination of knowledge on Intellectual Property Laws, policies and practices existing domestically, GNLU Centre for Intellectual Property Rights in partnership with the GNLU-GUJCOST Research Centre is organizing a one day capsule course on Trademark Registration.
This course primarily aims at providing both theoretical as well as practical information about the Trademark application and registration procedure followed in India. Recent changes introduced in the legislative framework of the Trademark law has made the registration process less cumbersome.
It is further beneficial to attain knowhow of a transformed system. The course presents an excellent opportunity for participants to gain knowledge from people involved with the procedural aspects of trademark registration and engage in discussions with their co-participants.
The course instructions will be provided by Ms. Deepali Paun, Senior Associate- Intellectual
Property Rights, Y. J. Trivedi & Co., Ahmedabad. A certificate of participation shall be provided.
