Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength
FICCI, IPR Division, New Delhi, 3 associates
Application Process
I had mailed my application to the HR department of FICCI at ficcihrd@ficci.com
There was a prompt reply confirming the internship.
Duration of internship and timings
One month, June 2014
9: 45 am to 5 :30 pm. They are very particular about the timings, so arrival on time is most important. One can leave early however, subject to the availability of the associates.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I reached sharp at 9:45 am. Thereafter, we interns met Ms Kartika Suhag who is the Research Associate there. She gave us the very first task relating to the NCERT and IPR incorporation.
The building is huge, but the department has only two rooms. There were many interns luckily, so we got a place in a big room. Else, there is a small room just for the interns.
Main Tasks
Research, Preparing minutes of the board meetings, Research paper submission and Presentation.
Work environment and people
Great associates but hardly any work.
Best things
Nice co interns and the meetings we got to attend.
Bad things
Not much work was given.
Stipend
None
Biggest Lessons
Just don’t go by how big the organization is, do the background research as well.
