I applied through the placement cell at School of Law, Auro University
Duration of Internship and timings
1 month. 15th June, 2014 to 15th July, 2014
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day all the interns were welcomed and were briefed on the work to be done in that duration.
The founder of CSJ Nupur Mam who is NLSIU alumni briefed us.
In terms of Infrastructure, it has a good office.
Main tasks
All the interns at CSJ mandatorily have to go on a field trip of one week. In this one week interns main task is awareness campaigns in the villages.
We did street play on the topics relating to Forest Atrocities, Police Atrocities, Witch crafts etc. So, our main task was to practice the street play and simultaneously we were given statues and we presented on the statues allocated to us.
We were taken the villages of Vasda in Saputara district of Gujarat. There we surveyed on issues faced by the villagers on day to day basis in any legal matters and most importantly on the matters pertaining to Forest Atrocities, Police Atrocities and witch-craft.
We also performed street play in more than 20 villages. In the last week of the internships we were given 20 case laws and we need to summaries all the case law and submit it as part of exit formality.
Work environment and people
The environment at CSJ is very good and friendly, all the people including lawyers are friendly and easily approachable.
Best things
The best thing about the internship was the field trip, where one can learn so much.
Bad things
The only bad thing was that the people felt a hope of a change, which we were uncertain whether the problem they were facing will be address to higher authorities and their life can be more smooth and without problems.

Biggest Lessons
Interning at CSJ was an eye opener for me. I realized that the government is working towards the cities and creating it a better place for people to live in, but people living in villages do not have enough and adequate facility such was drinking water and electricity.
Accommodation
My family resides in Ahmedabad.
Office Timings
Timings depended on the amount of work to be completed in that particular day.
