Research topic need not be the same which one had chosen while applying.
It can be changed after receiving inputs from mentor.
In the first week, orientation of different department of CCI is given by respective officers in charge and also the working of each department is conveyed.
A closed case on competition issue is provided to interns who are grouped into teams. Analysis has to be done by the teams on such case and decision to be drafted.
Project report on the chosen topic is to be prepared during internship and submitted on last day.
Presentation on the report has to be given on the prescribed date in front of an audience which basically may include Honorable Chairperson and Members of the Commission and other officers.
There is marking system according to which grading is done.
Out of total 30 marks, 10 are for presentation, 10 for case study analysis and 10 marks at discretion of mentor.
Certificate and cheque are given after successful completion of internship.
Do’s & Dont’s
1. Build a good rapport with your mentor since the mentor is your support and guidance and only mentor can show you the path.
2. Develop an interest in Competition law, be a keen observer.
3. Don’t bunk any orientation or hearings.
4. Build Network. Lot of professionals serving in Commission who can give you enormous insights about various intricacies of Competition Law.
5. Don’t be casual about project report, its not an one day affair.
My personal experience
The more knowledge you seek, the more you are bestowed upon.
Be sincere and put full efforts and you shall come out as a wiser person, and definitely more knowledgeable about Competition Law.
Note
You may get to see celebrities who come to HT building for movie promotions, and there is a cafeteria inside CCI and also on the ground floor of building.
CCI is at walkable distance from Barakhamba Metro Station. Proximity to CP gives lot of hangout options.

Hello Bro how much are the chances for getting the opportunity for Internship..Is it necessary that i should apply 2 months prior.. Waiting for your reply
can you please suggest some topics
Well there’s so much, for eg withing mergers you can select and do research on particular industry like cement, pharma, telecom. You can take up IPR, ecommerce, abuse of dominance position, anti competitive agreements, international facets of competition laws.
How is a project report prepared ? Do they guide you in doing it ?
Ya of course, on the first day itself you are appointed a mentor who will guide you each and every day. Project is to be submitted in the last week along with your presentstion.
Anymore queries kindly mail to Badri2k3@gmail.com as I don’t get notification of comments from here.
We have to choose topic ourselves or it will be provided by them. If we have to chhose the topic ourselves then it had to be from competition law only or from any law
Chose topic yourself and it has to have linkage to competition law only.
A topic on which synopsis has be made, will it be provided by them or by yourself we will have to choose topic and to prepare on it?
Please help…
