Duration in weeks. No. of days/week. Timings
5 weeks. From the 12th of May, 2015 to the 12th of June, 2015. The office timings are strict. 9 am to 8-9 p.m. 6 days/week. It usually depends on amount of work to be done. One is expected to be punctual at all times.
Accommodation: how, where, how was it?
One has to search themselves for accommodation. With lots of PG’s nearby the PUCL office, this isn’t a difficult task. Also the office secretary is always ready to help out if asked.
First impression. First day, formalities etc.
The first day of the work was pretty interesting. I got to meet various other interns from other colleges across the country, which is always an eye opening and enriching experience.
Main tasks
The PUCL Jaipur Internship program is mainly a research based which involves a lot of field work. My team and I were asked to research on NREGA, shelter homes etc.
Work environment, people
The work environment was very nice and enriching. Having a large number of co-interns was a lot of fun and all the tasks however back breaking were always fun to do. One can never get bored.
