Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength
Agarwal Law Associates, Litigation Office, 19, Babar Road, Bengali Market, New Delhi, 40-50 people.
Application Process
I went through a personal contact so there was no formal application process which was followed.
But they can be contacted through mail: mail@aglaw.in
Duration of internship and timings
4 weeks and the timings were 10.00 am to 5.00 pm but sometimes early when we had to reach the Court for a hearing.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
There were no first day formalities and the day was really boring as there was nothing to do as most of the people were on leave due to Court vacation.
Infrastructure-wise, the office is quite big and well furnished and has two floors with first floor having associates dealing with High Court cases and second floor people dealing with Supreme Court Cases.
Main tasks
I was mainly given research work by different Associates related to different Constitutional provisions, taxation and land acquisition.
Also, I attended the proceedings of the ongoing 2G Spectrum Case filed (under PMLA) at Patiala House Court and attended several other proceedings at Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India.
Work environment and people
The work environment was fine but there were not much people to interact with as most of them were on vacation.
Some of the Associates were really interactive and helpful as they discussing and shared their legal knowledge and experiences with us.
Best things
Coffee and Lunch Breaks. Also, the Office is in Bengali Market so there are many place to enjoy good food and hangout after office if time is not a constraint.
Also, there were two other co-interns so it was a nice mixture of learning and fun.
Bad things
There were some Associates who were very rude and sarcastic.
Stipend
No Stipend
Biggest Lessons
Don’t go for a litigation internship during Court vacation, you will end being disappointed.
