Since my uncle was in Ernakulam, through him I came to know about the advocate. I just contacted him through phone and he accepted my request for internship.
Duration of Internship and timings

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I was ready by 8, in the morning, and the Advocate himself showed up at my uncle’s home to pick me up. After a 45 minute travel in the heavy traffic of Kochi we finally reached his office.
It was a spacious office filled with files and Law books. the Advocate gave me the case briefs enlisted for that particular day.
Main tasks
My main task was to go through the case briefs of those cases posted for that particular day.
I accompanied my advocate to almost all the courts in Ernakulam District.
Work environment and people
The work environment was really great. There were 4 other Advocate’s in the office and they were very amicable with me.
Best things
This internship has helped me to understand what it really means to be an Advocate.

Biggest Lessons
The greatest need of the hour for a law student and obviously for an Advocate is to enhance the drafting skills, cause in a competitive environment this skill certainly gives a cutting edge.

I stayed at my uncle’s home.
