Duration of internship and timings
6th September – 6th October, 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The first impression at the office was amazing. When I reached there, I first met the head of the office Mr. Bhandari with whom I had a small formal interaction. He asked me about my studies, my aims and all. Then, I was introduced to the other associates working there, about their responsibilities in the office and was shown the file room from where I was given a file to draft.
The office has a wonderful infrastructure and the work is allotted to the team in two divisions, i.e. one for the High Court and the other for the lower courts.
A PC was given to me for the drafting and researching work.
Main tasks
I was mainly supposed to do the work related to consumer law and DRT cases. I was responsible for drafting the notices, sending them to the parties, researching the case laws and marking and arranging the files in order.
Also, I got the opportunity to deal with the clients in this office which was really a wonderful and confidence booster opportunity for me.
Work environment and people
The work environment at the office was very supportive and helpful. The associates acted as a mentor for me and this office truly recognizes one’s talent and provides opportunity to enhance it.
Best things
The best thing at this office was the dynamic nature of the work available at the office (arbitration, consumer, service, DRT, etc.). Thus, one has an ocean of opportunities to sharpen their skills.
It is a lifetime opportunity working at this office.
Bad things
No bad things at this internship.
