About the organization
The office is decently sized with lots of colorful posters having the content of various rights. The office is placed in Amulya Street, Kacheripady, Kochi. Its an apartment having 6 staffs including the chief.
There are so many cafes and restaurants around in which the interns can take break and have some chit chat.
The office is 10 mins walkaway from High Court. And they have categorized the departmental works to each and every employees such as consultation, research work , computer programs etc.
So, there is actually work for everyone even if the student is a computer science or commercial background or law .
Application procedure
The application procedure is simple. You just have to send the CV to the Adv. Sandhya Raju, hrln_cochin@hotmail,com, who is the head of the HRLN, Kochi unit. She will tell you the time within which you can expect to receive a call back to join.
Working hours
4 weeks , 6 days a week , 9 to 6 the working hours. And an hour lunch break is given in the afternoon.
Accommodation
The office staffs would help you get the accommodation which is close to the place. And the place is situated in the heart of the city which has got an easy access to the railway station.
First day, First impression, Formalities
On the first day, there was just a small introduction about the human rights law network. And they were asked us to pick up any right to make a research on such topic and to get a fair idea about the objectives, topic, etc.
The way the team interacted was pretty comfortable. The performance of each division was thoroughly checked and evaluated. If we have doubts, the employees are ready for a help. The interns had a interactive session in an camp organized by the HRLN.
Work Assigned
The main task of internship is to draft letters and prepare documents on behalf of clients who face different problems based on their rights mainly and if any mistake was pointed out, the seniors will help to improve the quality of work.
And another task is to make an interaction with the client and make a study about their problems. Once or twice a week , you may be asked to attend a camp with the local villagers through the panchayat or muncipality and seek their complaints and make an interaction.
You may be asked for certain opinion on some legal matters. The interns are asked to communicate to the clients personally.
The working environment is very healthy, the head of our office and the other staffs are very much interactive and they help us if we find any difficulty.

Its a really nice place to learn more about the human rights and they make you work so well, finally the the results will be excellent. I would rate the experience 9/10
