About
The Rapoport Center, University of Texas is currently soliciting papers for its Working Paper Series (WPS). We encourage submissions from scholars of all disciplines as well as from activists and advocates.
At present, we are particularly interested in papers that explore the relationship between labor, inequality, and human rights, in line with the Rapoport Center’s current thematic focus, but are also open to publishing papers on the topic of human rights more generally.
The WPS is edited and coordinated by an interdisciplinary committee that includes graduate students and faculty from across the University of Texas. Submissions are received on a rolling basis, reviewed, and then published online.
This offers authors the opportunity to actively receive feedback and encourages readers to engage in debates surrounding human rights and social justice.
Important Dates
The 2017-18 WPS will be published in 3 rounds. Those wishing to have work considered for each of these rounds should submit papers before the following deadlines.

Submission Guidelines
Please follow these specifications when preparing your manuscript:
- Use Times New Roman 12-point font, single line spacing, one-inch margins (top/bottom and left/right), and 8.5″ x 11″ (U.S.) paper size
- Center page numbers at the bottom of the page
- Prepare a cover page including your affiliation and email address
- Include a short abstract (up to 250 words) and up to five keywords
- Submit manuscripts as electronic files, in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
The WPS does not take on editorial tasks, so all manuscripts must be ready for publication at the time of submission. Please ensure that the paper has been carefully proofread and cite-checked, and verify that footnotes are properly numbered and that cross-references are correct and updated.

Following acceptance of your paper, you may be asked to contribute a short supplemental item (e.g. summary of your paper in non-academic language, interview with a WPS editorial committee member) intended to spark an online conversation about your paper.
