National Law School of India University and the United Nations Development Programme announce the 2019 UNDP-GEF-NLSIU-CEERA Moot Court Competition on Biological Diversity Law.
Registration
The Moot Court Competition is open to all students enrolled in a full time undergraduate/ postgraduate law course provided by a recognized College/Institution/University in India or abroad. There shall be a preliminary screening based on the memorials submitted by the Participating Teams, and only such teams selected under Clause 5 of these Rules shall be allowed to advance and participate in the Oral Rounds.
Registration fee
Teams intending to participate in the Competition shall register on or before January 26, 2019 with a Registration Fees of INR 10,000/- per institution/team. The mode of payment of Registration Fees shall be only through NEFT transfer.
The Bank Account and other details are contained in the Registration Form. Every Team shall send a scanned copy of the duly filled-in Registration Form, along with a soft-copy of the NEFT Transaction ID containing the payment details for the Registration Fee to susheela@nls.ac.in with the subject of the mail being “Registration for NLS-UNDP 2019 MOOT”

| Announcement of Memorial Results | February 12, 2019 |
| Submission of Memorials (physical copies) | February 20, 2019 |
| Moot Court Competition | February 20-22, 2019 |
Prizes
In addition to Trophies, to prize winners and Participation Certificate, the following cash-prizes shall be given towards the Special Awards contained in Rule 8 of the Memorial Rules
Special Awards:
- Winners: INR. 30,000/- (Indian Rupees Thirty Thousand only)
- Runners-Up: INR. 20,000/- (Indian Rupees Twenty Thousand only)
- Best Advocate: INR. 10,000/- (Indian Rupees Ten Thousand only)
- Best Memorial for Petitioner: INR. 7,500/- (Indian Rupees Seven Thousand and Five Hundred only)
- Best Memorial for Respondent. INR. 7,500/- (Indian Rupees Seven Thousand and Five Hundred only)
