UILS’s National Legal Aid Forum [April 5, Chandigarh]: Apply by March 20

About the organiser and conference:

University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) is a constituent department of Panjab University.

The Legal Aid Society, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh is delighted to host a National Legal Aid Forum.

This Legal Aid Forum is a unique platform where the representatives from different Legal Aid Clinics will present and discuss the operation of the Legal Aid Clinic and the success it has garnered since its inception in your institution.

This would be followed by a Panel Discussion limited only to the topic Role and Functioning of Legal Aid Clinics which would be presided over by the eminent personalities having expertise in this field.

Awards: The top 3 Legal Aid Clinics will be adjudged and awarded by the dignitaries.

Eligibility:

A delegation (limited to a maximum of three representatives) from the Legal Aid Clinics functioning in your institution. The delegation may comprise of both students and teachers.

Theme: Role and Functioning of Legal Aid Clinics.

Venue: University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Sector 14, Chandigarh(U.T).

Registration procedure:

The institutions interested in participating in the UILS National Legal Aid Forum 2019 must register themselves provisionally on or before 20th March 2019 by putting an email to uilslacforum[at]gmail.com

Fee details:

INR. 1,000/- per team. (exclusive of accommodation.)

For accommodation, students will have to pay INR. 500/- per day per room.

Deadlines:

• Date of UILS National Legal Aid Forum: 5th April 2019
• The Legal aid Clinics should submit the soft copy of following latest by 28th March 2019.

Note:

• PowerPoint Presentation not exceeding 25 slides or a video not exceeding 7 minutes.
• A written report of the work done by the Clinic not exceeding 30 pages.
• Hard copies of the same are to be submitted on the day of the event.
