People always have this misconception that big firms don't give much work to their interns due to confidentiality clause with their clients or lack of work skills, etc. but this place does nothing like that. Instead, they devote their time to teach us things that in future we could work on.

Best part is you are not allowed to sit in the office during court hours and according to me this is the big opportunity for the interns to experience the court proceedings closely.

This summer internship was the most exciting thing for me and it’s equally important and useful in my college studies as well as in my future career.

Most of the tasks at my Wadia Ghandy Mumbai internship were research oriented and preparing a list of documents and summaries of new cases which came in. I got a lot of opportunity to sit in client conferences and conferences with other senior lawyers to whom the cases were allotted to.

Anything that took our attention away from the judgment we would be reading, was like an invitation to talk, be it asking Vinod Kaka about her daughter’s imminent engineering admissions while he got us the coffee, or joking around with associates when they dropped in to check on our progress. My first impression about the firm seemed that it was a very happy place to work in! All the associates were very friendly with each other (which quite honestly is rare in most law firms), and made me feel right at home from the very beginning.
