Swaniti’s Policy Analysis Exercise: 500 Words on Justice Verma Recommendations; Submit by Feb 24

Swaniti Initiative invites talented and passionate youth to participate in a policy analysis exercise on some of the most fundamental issues facing the Indian polity.

Exercise: Participants are invited to submit an original written piece not exceeding 500 words discussing the implementation challenges of legal and institution reforms in the wake of the Justice Verma recommendations.

All entries must be submitted at www.swaniti.in

Word Limit: 500 words.

Prizes: The best entry will be invited to ioin an eminent panel of policymakers, academics and diplomats hosted by Swaniti Initiative and the British High Commission to discuss “A country for women: Road to implementation of Justice JS Verma Committee Report” on I st March, 2013 in Kolkata.

The top 4 entries will be published on the Swaniti Initiative blog and will receive gift hampers.

Additional details:

• The exercise is open to people in the age bracket of 18-30 years
• Submissions should be preceded by a cover page containing the title, name of the author; address of the author, contact details and organization/university affiliation.
• Application Deadline : 24th February, 2013 at 5 pm IST
