Career point University Hamirpur was established by the Government of Himachal Pradesh vide Act No. 12 of 2012 under Sec2 (f) of UGC Act 1956.
The University is empowered by the UGC, a statutory body of Government of India, for the award of degree under Section 22 of UGC Act 1956.
ABOUT THE SEMINAR
National Seminar on Understanding Environment and Biodiversity: Law, Governance, Development and Societal Perspective on April 27, 2019, is being organised by the School of Legal Studies and Governance, Career point University Hamirpur.
Everywhere on the planet species live together and depend on one another. Biodiversity the key indicator of the health of an ecosystem.
The world is facing too many environmental crisis today such as emission of greenhouse gases, deforestation, climate change and loss of biodiversity etc.
Man Made disruptions to environment and biodiversity can cause extinction because pollution creates dangers for both- animals and humans apart from other living organisms.
Therefore a balance between development and environment is highly required. Because mankind owes the natural world a moral obligation, India is looking forward to achieving sustainable development to explore the different dimensions of environmental problems and possible solutions thereof.
IMPORTANT DATES
Last date to send the abstract: 19 April 2019 (Word limit: 300-500 words).
Last date to send full-length paper: 24 April 2019 (Word limit: 3000-5000 words).
A co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
However, each of the authors shall have to pay the fee separately.
Selected papers shall be published in the form of a book with ISBN number. Presentations through video conferencing is also available.
