In keeping with Project 39A’s mandate to make issues on criminal justice accessible, we are excited to release the first episode of our the 39A Podcast.
Listen to our Associates, Yash S Vijay and Neetika Vishwanath, discuss developments in criminal law, from the recent decision of the Delhi High Court striking down the archaic anti-beggary law to the Supreme Court’s recent controversial judgement on the law on confessions made to the police during the course of an investigation.
They also discuss recent judgements on the use of violence by police during investigations. Our Associate, Maitreyi Misra interviews Dr. Sanjeev Jain, a neuropsychiatrist, to understand the concept of shared delusion in light of the recent mass hangings in Burari. Dr. Jain also talks about psychiatry’s role in criminal law.
