About the Institute
TERI School of Advanced Studies was set up as a Trust by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) – a not-for-profit, independent research institute recognized globally for its contribution to scientific and policy research in the realms of energy, environment, and sustainable development in 1998.
In 1999, the TERI School of Advanced Studies was granted the ‘Deemed to be University’ status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified vide the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Education, Government of India, notification no. F.9/19/95-U-3, dated October 5, 1999.
About the Programme
Name of the Programme: One Year LLM Programme on Environment and Natural Resources Law & Infrastructure and Business Law.
Programme Overview: Environmental laws and Infrastructure laws are two emerging fields in legal practice.
There is a dearth of qualified legal professionals in both these fields.
It is in this context that TERI SAS offers a one year LL.M. programme with a specialisation in Environment and Natural Resources Law and Infrastructure and Business Law.
This One Year LL.M programme will be offered under the auspices of the Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies through the Department of Policy Studies.
Eligibility
A candidate having an LLB/BL degree from a recognized University/Institution.
Career Prospects
Infrastructure laws and Environmental laws are two emerging fields in legal practice. An LLM with specialization in either of these fields would open up opportunities in:
- Litigation
- Corporate Practice
- Teaching and Research
How to Apply?
TERI SAS also accepts CLAT 2020 PG scores for admitting students to its LLM programme.
