Sports Committee, NLSIU is calling for submission for the “Spiritus Sports Law Essay Competition 2013” sponsored by LawNK.

The deadline is September 10, 2013 (11.59 p.m. IST)

The topics are:

(1) Sports rights – What proprietary rights does and should an event organiser have with respect to match scores?
–
(2) Sports administration – Can competition law transform Indian sports administration?
–
(3) Sports integrity – Are athletes legally and ethically obliged to always perform at their best?
–
Co-authorship of 2 people maximum is allowed, and OSCOLA 4th edn .,is the citation style to be used.
–
Most importantly the prize money is Rs. 7.5k, 5k, and 2.5k for the first, second and third best entries respectively, along with an opportunity to be published in ‘Sportzlaw’ and an internship at the Law Offices of Nandan Kamath, Bangalore.
