The Right to Food programme in the Centre for Child and the Law (CCL), NLSIU, Bangalore seeks applications for the position of Research Assistant for its project on Ensuring Food Security for marginalised people in India through advocacy and capacity building on National Food Security Act.
Job Description
The Research Assistant will have the responsibility of supporting the programme head in implementation of the project. The Research Assistant will have to:
- Execute all the activities as part of the project.
- Ensure compliance with the timelines and project reporting.
- Organise events with assistance from the team.
- Contribute towards ensuring quality of outputs and outcomes
- Be a central part of the team.
Qualifications and Experience
The Research Assistant should preferably be a Masters in Social Sciences /Law/Social Work with exposure to development work. Prior experience in similar areas is desired. Experience on issues concerning food security/nutrition especially for women/children will be an added advantage.
The applicant is required to have experience in research, event organising, report writing and be willing to travel within India. S/he must have good communication skills -oral and written in English. Knowledge of Kannada will be an advantage.
Remuneration
A maximum consolidated amount of Rs. 30,000 per month depending on qualification and experience.
The position is initially for a period of 1 year with probation of 3 months. It is likely to get extended till July 2021, depending on performance.
