National Centre for Advocacy Studies (NCAS), set up in 1992, is a premier advocacy resource centre. NCAS has been working on people-centred advocacy for over two decades.
About the conference
National Centre for Advocacy Studies (NCAS) is conducting its 5th annual month-long ‘Foundation Course on Public Policy and Advocacy’.
This course will be held at NCAS’s Pune office between 15th May and 15th June 2019.
The foundation course aims to build on the historical understanding of India’s social, political and economic context to comprehend the problems faced by the marginalized communities today.
The course is even more needed in the current political climate.
The course enables the participants to have the perspective necessary for people-centred advocacy.
The participants will also gain exposure to the field during the 80 clock-hours long courses. During the final days of the course, the participants will engage in the analysis of a policy of their interest.
Eligibility
Students of law, social work, mass media, social sciences, Entry level/mid-level development practitioners, all those interested in building a fundamental understanding of Public policy analysis and advocacy.
