Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai is organising the International Symposium (France/Germany/India) on Challenges of Regulating Online Platform: Fragile Balance Between Freedom of Expression and Abuse.
About the Symposium
Information Technology has impacted and radically changed the way we express, communicate, transact, and the deal, etc with each other. Online platforms have replaced traditional platforms in the press, business, governance, industry, art, security, education, health, etc. This has made things smarter, faster, cost-effective, and accessible without geographical barriers and much more.
At the same time, it has posed challenges in the form of cyber offenses, competition concerns, privacy issues, threats to national security, etc. It is becoming difficult day by day to bring out the perfect balance between conflicting interests and at the same time tackle online abuse. This conference aims to divulge in a meaningful conversation to face the aforesaid challenge with the techno- socio-legal approach substantiated by comparative analysis.
