ABOUT
The mentorship program is a means for law students interested in constitutional and human rights law to learn practical skills that they will require once they start practicing in court. The proportion between human rights violations and human rights lawyers is alarming and has resulted into the creation of a gap between justice and seekers of justice who crave for competent human rights lawyers to take up their causes.
As a team of human rights lawyers working at the chambers of Senior Advocate Ms. Indira Jaising, we realize our responsibility in building capacity for filling such gap and making justice more accessible. Enrolled law students will be exposed to constitutional issues of gender discrimination, women rights, religious rights, health rights, and intellectual property rights.
Our aim is to have a teaching model where mentees learn and have a comprehensive understanding of real-life skills to be a human rights lawyer.
