Lawfarm is an online portal offering legal advice. Lawfarm aims to help people get better access to legal information and services. This Blog Writing Contest is to promote speedy legal research and effective communication skills among students, which in turn can help the public get fast and quality legal information.
Topic
Any topic on contemporary and practical issues faced by a lay person in dealing with any aspect of law.
Eligibility Criteria
All law students are eligible to contest.
Deadline
The last day for submission is 28th August, 2016 (12:00 Noon)
Word Limit
Maximum word limit – 1000 words. Minimum word limit – 500 words.
Prizes
First Prize: Cash Prize of Rs 4000/- and Internship with Lawfarm in your preferred dates.
Second Prize: Cash Prize of Rs 2000/- and Internship with Lawfarm in your preferred dates.
Third Prize: Internship with Lawfarm in your preferred dates.
Participation Certificates for all 3 winners by LawFarm.
* 5 early-bird entries for the contest stand a chance to win Internship with LawFarm.
Writing Guidelines
Avoid legal jargon and bookish topics.
Examples of topics that can be written on: How to draft a shareholder agreement or Drafting a Power of Attorney.
Don’t use footnotes in your article. Mention all the sources at the end of blog under the caption “Sources”.
Any plagiarism will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
Important: Kindly go through the existing blogs [Click HERE] and avoid topics which are already covered.
Please provide an image related to your blog separately with your blogpost, titled “Image” and provide the source of image under the “Sources” section of your blog.
Please provide your name, year of study and college in the email body.
Judging Criteria
Simplicity and conciseness of language
Spelling and Grammar
Practicality of topic selected
Legal Research
Communication, writing style and effectiveness of the article
Submission Procedure
All entries have to be mailed to internship.lawfarm@gmail.com on or before 28th August, 2016.
