JOB POST @ Coordinator at the Secretariat of Right to Food Campaign; Apply by April 30

The secretariat of the Right to Food Campaign is looking for a new coordinator.

About

The secretariat has a small office in south Delhi which tries to support the campaign in various ways: maintaining the campaign website, circulating information on the right to food, preparing campaign material (booklets, leaflets, etc.), facilitating campaign events in Delhi, convening meetings of the campaign’s steering group, and, whenever possible, participating in campaign activities around the country.

The secretariat is funded from individual donations in rupees with no strings attached – for further information see the campaign’s website HERE.

The secretariat coordinator (generally working with one or two other volunteers) is expected to coordinate these activities, under the guidance of a small advisory group.

Anyone with good organizational, social and communication skills is welcome to apply.

Qualities Needed

Fluent knowledge of Hindi and English, website maintenance skills, some training in social sciences, and – most importantly – some prior experience of involvement in the right to food campaign or similar work are all useful but not essential qualifications.

Honorarium

A modest honorarium of Rs 12,000 – 15,000 per month (negotiable) will be arranged for the successful applicant.
