National Institute for Smart Government (NISG) has issued a recruitment notification for Policy Analyst to fill up 3 vacancies. These vacancies are for National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI).
NIXI is a not for profit organization set up under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (now section 8 under Companies Act, 2013) for peering of ISPs among themselves and routing the domestic traffic within the country. With seed funding from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NIXI is performing the following three activities.
- Internet Exchanges
- .in Registry and Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs)
- National Internet Registry (NIR)

Job Details
This requires the candidate to be working with the Government and be involved in policy research and analysis on internet governance related areas.
The candidate will be responsible for studying and analyzing and writing policy documents of global Internet Governance and Technology related issues, summarize and analyze them and convert it into usable knowledge, assist in all aspects of the planning/organization of Internet Governance related events like ICANN, IGF, WSIS etc.

Educational Qualification
Law Graduate with experience in cyber laws/Public policy.
Experience
2 to 3 years of experience.
CTC Offered
Rs. 6 Lacs to 9 Lacs per annum. (Excludes bonus and other benefits)
Desirable
Awareness and understanding of Public Policy issues pertaining to global Internet Governance, technology and governance related regulations, policies and procedures.
