First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Huge office, lots of people, intimidating atmosphere etc. marked my first day.

However, the cordiality and calmness with which Reliance’s Legal Branch’s Head, Mr. Garry Rana attended and explained the areas of work to me did away with all of those inhibitions.

Main tasks

Managing case files on a daily basis. Further, drafting replies to legal notices and the like.

Also, maintaining the computerized database of the past cases of Reliance.

Work environment and people

Employees of the other branches of the office were quite sweet and conversant with all the interns.

They asked about your work and if you’re able to adjust to the office routine.

Quite fun to work in an amiable environment like that.

Best things

Garry sir was always willing to explain and teach.

He made time for your questions at all times.

He maintained an atmosphere of friendliness along with seriousness.

It was quite fun to work with him!

Bad things

It was a bit too informal an atmosphere.

Further, not much work at all on some days.

So, you may get bored at those times.

Biggest Lessons

If the Boss is friendly, his mood will directly affect yours and make you feel comfortable to work.

Although there was no pressure to work, there’s a certain amount of it which had to be necessarily done per day, which was quite manageable.

Accommodation

Being a localite, I didn’t need to avail the service of a PG.

Office Timings

Official timings: 10 am to 5 pm

However, Garry Sir was quite flexible about the timings if you had a valid reason to skip coming to the office for a few hours or on a specific day.
