The Secretary General’s Climate Change Support Team is looking for an intern.
Duration
2-months long internship programme, with the opportunity for extension up to 6 months.
Location
The internship will take place in the Executive Office of the Secretary General, in New York.
Work
The successful applicant is expected to provide support to the implementation of the Secretary-General’s strategy on South-South Cooperation and Climate Change, by drafting meeting notes and presentations, coordinating events and conducting research and analysis on relevant topics.
Stipend
The internship is unpaid and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the Department or Office to which they are assigned.
Eligibility
Students in the final academic year towards a Bachelor’s level university degree, or graduate students with a background in International Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies, Development Economics, Environmental Studies, or related fields.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required, while knowledge of another UN official language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.
