Application Process

They have a application form which we are suppose to fill. Then they shortlist the names according to the achievments and required qualification. If you are selected you will receive the acceptance mail.

Duration of internship and timings

1st June to 21st June

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

First day was the orientation session which was organised at Tis Hazari Court. We were asked to dress in formals. Hence on the first day only we were given the schedule of next 21 days if internship.

We were imformed of what we are suppose to do. Also assigned with our groups and a group leader for every group. Then from the second day we went on our visits to SC, Tihar Jail, JJB ect.

Main tasks

Visit and observe the working and procedure of places like:

Supreme Court

Saket Court

Patiala House court

Child Welfare committee

Mediation center

Special police unit for women and children

Police Station

Juvinile Jails

Tihar Jail

Delhi High Court etc.

Work environment and people

Personally I have really made very good friends and even today i am in touch with them. Office people were really very cooperative. You can go to them any time for whatever sort of doubt you have. They will always entertain you.

Maulika ma’am was of a good nature as well as a good mentor.

Best things

I feel that every law student should do this intenship once in the course of law.

Because what we study is all theoretical and when we really see those things gives us a practical knowledge.

Bad things

One thing what I felt was bad the travelling part. Waking up every morning and the looking for address and maps sometimes became a hectic job.

Accommodation

As I am not a Delhite so took a PG at Laxmi Nagar. It is very easy to find a good pg at Delhi so don’t worry about getting a pg.

Office Timings

We were suppose to reach at 10:00 to the places assigned. We stayed there till 1:00.

Lunch time from 1:00 to 2:00

Research work timings 2:00 to 5:00.
