INTERN AS COURT OBSERVER
The Centre for Law and Policy Research, Bangalore (CLPR) is a not-for-profit trust established in 2009. CLPR engages in law and policy research, strategic impact litigation and advocacy interventions to secure progressive outcomes in various fields.
CLPR offers an opportunity to 4th and 5th year BA.LL.B/BBA.LL.B students to get intensive and novel on the ground experience by working with us on a Court Observation Research Project.
Nature of Internship:
- The Interns will be required to visit identified Magistrate’s Courts in Bangalore as ‘Court Observers’ to observe proceedings in Bail matters and collect data as per research tools provided by CLPR.
- The total number of Internships being offered is ten (10).
- The Interns will be based in CLPR’s Bangalore office and will be expected to undertake daily court visits and collect data. Local travel costs will be covered by CLPR.
- Candidates must be sufficiently proficient in spoken Kannada.
Duration:
The Internship duration is a total of 45 days, starting April 15 2017.
Stipend:
A fixed honorarium will be provided to the selected Interns.
