Ladies and gentlemen,
We are happy to formally invite you to the inaugural edition of the Indian Women’s Debating Championships, 2015.
Dates: 13th – 15th March, 2015.
Venue: IIT Bombay, India.
Format: British Parliamentary format (2 speakers per team – both women).
The championship is an open tournament, i.e, we do not require participants to be associated with any institution to sign up for it.
Team Cap: No team cap instituted in the spirit of being inclusive to participants as long as we can assure quality.
The tournament is open to competitive women speakers and adjudicators only.
What we offer:
A stellar adjudication core comprising of Gemma Buckley, Aparna Raturi, Sharada Srinivasan, and Achitha Jacob.
A Women’s Council to discuss, document, and ratify relevant issues faced by female debaters across India (to be held on 13th March, 2015).
Comfortable 3-star accommodation will be provided throughout the duration of the tournament.
Free transport to all participants to and from the accommodation and debate venue.
Registration:
We are officially accepting registrations as of 29th January, 2015.
Registrations will remain open till 12th February, 2015.
Registration fee structure is as follows:
2,500 INR with accommodation.
1,000 INR without accommodation.
