GNLU Centre for Public International Law specializes in organizing academic, research, extension and training programs and activities in the field of Maritime Law to disseminate knowledge among various stakeholders. In furtherance of the objective of promoting studies in maritime law and research, GNLU Centre for Public International Law is organizing Extensive Training Programme on Maritime Law and Practice.
The Training Program is aimed to travel around and assess different aspects of maritime law. It also aims to equip participants with knowledge on contemporary and advance issues and practices on maritime industry related development and to identify legal and policy issues interfacing the maritime, shipping and arbitration. With the global expansion of the maritime and shipping industry, marine insurance is becoming increasingly important.
The training program is an effort to cover almost all the essential areas of maritime law with the basic as well as advanced understanding of the subject with an idea to inculcate the directional approach and thought process to serve this immensely quantifying area of study, research and practice.

- Employment of Ships – Liner Trade/Transportation Trade,
- Bill of Lading and Hague Rules, Hague-Visby Rules, Rotterdam Rules,

- The Four Pillars of the Maritime Constituency,
- Important Operational Terms in Shipping,
- Shipping Administration in India,
- Dispute Resolution in Shipping.
